Once there was a tortoise named Timmy who lived in a forest. Timmy was slow, but he always kept going. In the same forest lived a fast hare named Harry, who loved to brag about how quickly he could run.

One day, Harry said to Timmy, “Let’s have a race! I’ll win for sure because I’m the fastest animal in the forest.” Timmy smiled and agreed to the race.

When the race started, Harry ran ahead very fast, leaving Timmy far behind. Feeling confident, Harry decided to rest under a tree, thinking, “Timmy is so slow, I have plenty of time.”

While Harry slept, Timmy kept walking, step by step, without stopping. Slowly but surely, Timmy passed Harry and reached the finish line.

When Harry woke up and saw Timmy had won, he couldn’t believe it! He learned that day that being fast wasn’t everything — staying steady and focused was just as important.

Moral: Slow and steady wins the race!
